SMS Terms & Conditions.
Program description
RIC Solutions sends text (SMS) messages to customers and client contacts regarding our building sciences and indoor environment consulting services. Messages may include notification that we have received an allocation to assess a property, virtual assessment scheduling links, appointment confirmations, reminders and scheduling changes, and general updates about site appointments or the status of a job or claim. Messages are sent to property owners and policyholders whose property is the subject of an engagement or who have requested a virtual assessment, and to client contacts (such as insurance and restoration professionals) involved in a job.
Consent
You consent to receive text messages from RIC Solutions when you provide your mobile number by submitting a purchase order or work order, or verbally when calling our office to request a virtual assessment. Alternatively, where RIC Solutions has been engaged by your insurer, or by a third-party administrator acting on behalf of your insurer, in connection with an insurance claim you have lodged, your contact details (including your mobile number) may be provided to us by that party, in accordance with the terms of your insurance policy, so that we can contact you about your claim, such as arranging an assessment of your property. Our first message will identify RIC Solutions and explain how to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. In Australia, we send messages in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): every message identifies RIC Solutions as the sender, and you can opt out at any time as described below.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your engagement with RIC Solutions.
Fees
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier according to your mobile plan.
Opting out
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further SMS messages from us. To re-join, provide your mobile number to us again as described above and we will resume sending messages.
Where messages form part of a recurring workflow – for example, a series of updates about a claim, assessment or scheduled site appointment – our first message will include opt-out instructions, and we will repeat them periodically. One-off operational messages, such as a single notification to a client contact, may not include opt-out wording; however, replying STOP to any message will always unsubscribe you.
Help and support
The number we send messages from is not monitored for replies. If you need help or are experiencing issues with the messaging program, contact us directly at admin@ricsolutions.com, (800) 485-6515 (US) or 1300 376 666 (AU). Replying HELP to any message will return an automated response containing these contact details.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. For details on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Policy at https://ricsolutions.com/privacy-policy.
